Just a note to thank you so much for our lovely weekend b&b accommodation. We did appreciate everything, from the welcome scones to the superb packed lunches. In fact we think its down to your good food and very comfortable bed, that we both had such a great weekend and shot so well in the archery competition. Ron and Mary. A lovely relaxing stay.

I agree with everything that Denise said (7th April 2009) and would give this farmhouse bed and breakfast five stars any time. But it is no good being on a diet - the breakfasts are irresistable!

The farm itself was lovely and the setting couldn't have been better. The welcome from Margaret and John was very warm and inviting and there were some really thoughtful touches in the room, such as a huge stack of useful local magazines and a chilled jug of milk in a little fridge (it was really sweet, much nicer than a plastic bottle). We chatted to Margaret over breakfast (which was exceptionally good, especially the home made potato cakes), while we watched the chickens go about their day and we thanked them for our morning eggs! Margaret was the perfect host and told us about the local area and the history of the farm. And nothing was too much trouble, she even makes fantastic home made marmalade. I would recommend Cobden Farm to anyone who is bored of staying in faceless corporate hotels. It is quite literally a breath of fresh air. I can't wait for an excuse to visit again.
